Nobody hits the center of the face every time — not you, not tour players. Curved face irons counteract those off-center hits, tightening your dispersion so your misses finish closer to the hole.

Miss the center by a fraction of an inch and the ball leaks offline — more so the faster you swing. A curved face reins those misses back in, finishing closer to the hole.

Flat or curved — which should I play?
It comes down to your 7-iron swing speed.
95+ mph (180+ yard carry): While you can still play our flat-face irons, we strongly recommend curved-face. At these speeds the benefits of progressive face curvature are most noticeable — off-center strikes finish closer to target, the greatest advantage in consistency and dispersion.
85–95 mph (160–180 yard carry): Either works, but curved-face still provides an advantage and is our recommendation. The difference isn’t as dramatic as above 95 mph, but you’ll still see improved consistency and tighter dispersion, especially toward the top of the range.
Under 85 mph (under 160 yard carry): Both sets are fine. Curved-face can still offer measurable benefits, but the difference is less noticeable at these speeds — both are viable.
Are curved face irons legal for tournament play?
Absolutely! This is the same technology that’s been used in woods and hybrids for decades — and it’s completely conforming to the rules of golf.

Do they affect loft, launch, or distance gapping?
No — loft, launch, and gapping are handled exactly as they are on any Avoda set. What improves is your dispersion and distance consistency: straighter mishits mean you finish closer to your intended number more often.
