More Consistency
Same Length Irons
From Bobby Jones’ early experiments to Bryson DeChambeau’s major-winning irons, the idea has always been the same: simplify the game by making every iron feel identical.

Consistent Setup
Every iron is the same length — so you use the same posture and distance from the ball for every shot. Less thinking, more consistency.

Simplified Swing Mechanics
By keeping the same posture and distance from the ball, you can use the same swing for every shot — meaning you only have to practice one swing.

More Spin with your wedges
By using same-length shafts, we’re able to reduce wedge head weight compared to a traditional variable-length set. This optimized head weight generates more clubhead speed, increasing spin for greater control and confidence on critical shots into and around the green.

More Options in Your Bag
Our strategic loft gapping frees up an extra club in your bag. This means you no longer have to decide which essential club to remove when adding a driving iron, 5-wood, or specialty wedge. The freedom to choose is now yours.

Avoda’s mission was realized on golf’s biggest stage when Bryson DeChambeau won the 2024 U.S. Open using our curved-face, same-length irons. Engineered and proven in the toughest arena — before it reaches your bag.

Do Same Length Irons Help?

Questions? We’ve Got You Covered.
What are same length irons?
Same Length irons are built with identical shaft lengths and lie angles across every club, typically based on a 7-iron. This design allows you to use the same setup and swing for every iron, creating more consistent ball striking, tighter dispersion, and greater confidence throughout the set.
What problems do same length irons solve?
Same Length irons eliminate the need to constantly change swing mechanics and your distance from the ball for each club. By allowing you to keep one consistent setup and swing, they reduce mishits, boost confidence, and make ball striking easier — especially under pressure.
Can I just cut my current irons to the same length?
No. Simply cutting your current irons won’t work — the head weights, lie angles, and swing weights won’t be optimized for a Same Length setup. Avoda Same Length Irons are specifically engineered with precise head weights and specs to deliver consistent performance, feel, and control across the entire set.
Will the wedges be too long for me to use?
Not at all. While they’re slightly longer than traditional wedges, Same Length wedges are designed for balance and feel. Most players adjust quickly — often within a few rounds or practice sessions. In return, you gain better setup consistency, more spin, and greater control on approach and short game shots.

Will same length irons improve my short game?
Yes. With all irons built to the same length, you use a single setup and swing across your scoring clubs. This simplifies your technique, improves strike consistency, and enhances launch, spin, and feel. Especially inside 100 yards, players report more confidence, more feel and more up and downs.
Should I switch to same length irons?
100% of golfers should be using same length irons to a point in their set. Golfers of all skill levels seeking a simpler, more repeatable swing and greater consistency can benefit from switching to Same Length Irons. By using the same setup and swing for every iron, players reduce variables and improve ball striking — leading to better performance and more confidence throughout the bag.
