When Jason Day’s coach, Colin Swatton, reached out about helping Jason with his iron and wedge setup, the initial focus was clear — find a more precise, consistent iron performance.
After a few days of testing and fitting, Jason hit a some shots with our curved-face iron and said, “This is what I need to play.” From there, we took our Origin Series curved-face irons and made a few adjustments to the sole and head shape to suit his visuals and delivery, while keeping the same face curvature and loft specs as our production model.
Seeing Jason compete in Utah with Avoda irons was incredible. He’s been an absolute pleasure to work with and a perfect example of what it means to demand more from your equipment.

When we started Avoda, our goal was simple — design clubs that make golf easier for everyone. Within the first few years, we’ve seen Bryson DeChambeau win the 2024 U.S. Open Championship, and now Jason Day compete on the PGA Tour for a top-20 finish with a custom set of Origin Series irons. The journey is just beginning.
If you want the same accuracy, consistency, and forgiveness that’s redefining modern iron design, check out the Origin Combo-Length Curved-Face Irons — built to tighten your dispersion. The faster you swing, the straighter they go.
Now available for preorder — the Variable-Length Curved-Face Irons, bringing curved-face precision to a traditional setup.
