We are thrilled to announce that esteemed golf coach Mike Schy has joined Avoda! With over three decades of coaching experience, Mike has been instrumental in shaping the careers of numerous golfers, including his longtime student, Bryson DeChambeau, a two-time U.S. Open Champion.
Mike has been a key figure in Avoda’s growth, playing a major role in bringing to life the innovative irons used to win the 2024 U.S. Open. His deep understanding of equipment and how it influences a player’s swing has been invaluable in developing clubs that truly enhance performance.
Mike’s teaching philosophy centers on the uniqueness of each golfer’s swing, emphasizing that while every swing has its own style, all good swings share common fundamentals. His expertise and dedication have consistently guided players to reach their highest potential on the course.
In his own words, Mike expressed his enthusiasm about joining Avoda:
“I have to honestly say, next to marrying my wife and having my kids, this is, I think, one of the greatest days of my life. I’m so excited to be a part of Avoda. So excited to see what Avoda’s doing. And really excited to see how golfers are going to react to the golf club.”
